Green and ethical choices by the Belgian Presidency
Because we find it important to make thoughtful choices regarding sustainability and inclusivity, we have established a Green and Ethical framework against which we assess our events. This means that we carefully consider our venues, printed materials, meals, transportation, inclusivity, and other themes relevant to 'inclusive societies.' We always strive to find the right balance between visibility, comfort, and efficiency on one hand, and sustainability on the other. You will not find an abundance of goodies or printed materials during our events.
Additionally, we encourage participants and staff to choose public transportation or other more sustainable means of transport as much as possible. Lastly, to commit to our ambition to organise sustainable and ethical events, the meals served during our events will by default be vegetarian. However, the dietary requirements and preferences of participants will be taken into consideration.
